  All my good friends forego The Commercial, a detached, large Inn, in favour of well, any other pub along Bury Old Road (Woodthrope, Ostrich, Maggie's, Parkside) in not the whole area.
  
  I've only been in once or twice and I really don't think that it is anything special. Mediocre pub, mediocre staff. A drink is a drink is a drink I know, but wouldn't care if I never stepped in here again. I'm surprised it is still going when a few pubs nearer to Prestwich village have gone. There are a few too many along this road to cater for people who still spend whole nights in pubs, anyway.

  I have been in the Commercial pub on Bury old road, Prestwich a few times, it can be fairly quiet (but not always) and the beer is cheap.
  I don't particularly like this pub, I think its regulars do though and it falls into the traditional drinking boozer category. I have rarely seen bad behaviour there and have never been made to feel unwelcome so there is a good thing.

  A bit boring ..
